The part of the nation that we belong to, one thing that is as common as the coconut trees and backwaters are the Toddy Shops. While on Kerala roads, these tiny white thatched buildings with the words 'Kallu Shaap' (Toddy Shop) written in black thick bold font are really hard not to miss.
They serve freshly tapped Toddy (drink made from coconut sap) with lip smacking spicy local cuisine. With its vintage charm, it has over time become ingrained in the culture of Kerala. Nothing unites people across economic and class strata like these tiny old makeshift buildings, they have stood the test of time and gained iconic cult status.
Toddy as a drink is mildly intoxicating and leaves the patron with a happy high. Similarly, we want the content we create to leave the viewer with a happy high. In that sense, we are just proprietors brewing the perfect 'Kallu' in our tiny 'Toddy' shop for you, our patrons.
